Stay In The Know

In Search of Culture

August 25, 2016

While staying on the historic Española way, you may become thirsty for some Miami Art Culture. And nothing says culture like a visit to a local museum. The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is located just across the causeway in Downtown Miami. An impressive newcomer to the scene, PAMM has been heralded as a cultural gem featuring modern and contemporary art of the 20th and 21st centuries. While exploring the elegant galleries, take note of the strong emphasis on contemporary hispanic and caribbean artist. Currently on view is Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks a comprehensive look at the inspirations that influenced his world famous paintings.

After a day of feeding your mind, it’s time to feed your stomach. Stroll through the outdoor hanging gardens, created by French Botanist Patrick Blanc, on your way to Verde, the museum’s chic waterfront eatery. The food here is so delectable, it has become a popular locals hang. Have a glass of rosé or a craft beer while dining on artisanal pizza, salads, and locally inspired small plates. We suggest the Shrimp & Mahi Ceviche while enjoying the warm tropical breeze.
