Basic Filmmaking with DSLR Cameras 1 day Workshop: Saturday, March 23rd 10am - 4pm (with one hour lunch break) Instructor: Ed Talavera Level: All levels Age Range: 15+ Price: $60 In this course, award-winning director of photography Ed Talavera will teach students how to compose a variety of shots, capture sound, and structure a basic film shoot using a DSLR camera. Students must bring their own cameras; demonstration cameras and other required materials will be provided. About Ed Talavera: Ed Talavera is an award-winning director of photography and cinematographer of narrative and documentary feature films. Talavera's numerous film credits include work that has aired on HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and theaters worldwide. A graduate of New York University's Graduate Film program, Talavera also serves as the coordinator of the film M.F.A program in the University of Miami's Department of Cinema and Interactive Media and is director of the Canes Film Festival, an annual showcase of student films.
